Please join us for a benefit event for Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy (MPLC) on the beautiful Shem Creek. The event will be held at the Lighthouse on the Creek (next to Red's Ice House) from 3pm-7pm on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. Live music will be provided by Henry's Attic. Included in the ticket price are BBQ, burgers/dogs, veggie burgers, beer from several local breweries (Westbrook, Palmetto as well as Stone IPA and Pig Swig), wine, and the opportunity to bid on more than 45 amazing silent auction items. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.

There will also be 2 one-hour harbor cruises aboard the Palmetto Breeze catamaran for only $5 per person! Be sure to select one of the above options that includes either the 3:30 pm or 5 pm cruise to reserve your space.

Additionally, Half-Moon Outfitters has named the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy the beneficiary of their 2nd Annual "Golden Nugget" 10K & 5K SUP Race on Shem Creek. The races will begin at 3 pm and finish in front of the Lighthouse on the Creek. Participants in the SUP Race will receive free admission to the Party on the Creek.  For more information or to register for the "Goldent Nugget" Race, check out www.halfmoonoutfitters.com or register in person at Half-Moon Outfitter in Mount Pleasant on Coleman Blvd.

If Stand-Up Paddleboarding isn't your thing, thanks to the generous donation by Nature Adventures Kayak and Canoe Outfitters, we will be hosting three 2-hour Naturalist Guided Kayak Paddles among the shrimp boats and amazing scenery found in the heart of historic Mount Pleasant. Registration for the Kayak Tours can be found here.
